The Dubai Chamber of Commerce welcomed 51,561 new companies as members during the first nine months of 2024, reflecting a year-over-year growth of 4%. These figures underscore Dubai’s position as a global hub for trade and investments, further solidifying its reputation as a preferred destination for business setup and expansion.

 

This milestone is part of broader initiatives undertaken by the Dubai Chamber, including the establishment of specialized councils such as the Dubai Chamber Launches Korean Business Council. These councils aim to foster stronger trade relationships and support international businesses entering Dubai’s vibrant market.

Driving Growth: Key Achievements in 2024

Dubai Chamber’s 2024 updates revealed several noteworthy accomplishments:

  • Member Exports and Re-exports:
    Valued at AED 224 billion, with a YoY growth of 7%.
  • Certificates of Origin Issued:
    Over 578,268 certificates were issued, marking another 7% increase.
  • ATA Carnets for Goods:
    3,259 carnets processed, facilitating goods worth more than AED 2 billion.

 

The Chamber’s success aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), enhancing the emirate’s business-friendly environment to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).

His Excellency Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the Chamber’s pivotal role:

  • Policy Advocacy: Reviewing 154 laws and draft laws in collaboration with Business Groups.
  • Legal Awareness: Hosting 27 legal events attended by over 2,000 professionals to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Mediation Services: Resolving 131 mediation cases, a 27% YoY increase.
