Beneficiaries of the UAE visa Amnesty

For those who are staying excessively in the country, they can use the amnesty to either legalise for exiting the coexist any overstay fine. Or get the legal residency in UAE without restrictions involved for those who are:

  • The overstayed individuals can have their visas renewed under a new sponsor. They can apply for a new visa through Amerik service centres by giving an Immigration charge of Dh500.
  • Those who are leaving the country can contact Awir Immigration and get the exit permit without any ban imposed. Immigration will issue the exit permit and allow them to leave the country within ten days of the permit being issued.

Simply availing the exit permit will cost Dh220. Immigration will take normal fingerprints and eye scans and provide the exit permit accordingly.

  • Individuals who violated immigration laws and entered the country without any documents will receive exit clearance with a two-year ban. After that period only, they will be permitted to re-enter the UAE.
  • If a person has an absconding report, he can have it removed by Immigration and pay the fee of Dh500, and they will grant a no-ban exit permit. The relevant immigration authorities will issue exit permits at the location where the visa was given.

This means that the individuals will have to go to the immigration authorities in their respective emirates for this.

The candidates may contact the Immigration Department with their respective Original Passports or the Exit Certificate EC issued from the Consulate. If the passport is already submitted to any of the Immigration offices, such passport will be traced and given back to the applicant. In case of non-availability of the passport, the Consulate may provide EC, and an exit permit will be granted without a police report. The Foreign Embassies will favourably consider these requests in case of repatriation of certain individuals.
